Frequently Asked Questions

Are you a good editor?

Yes. This is my favourite question.

What have you worked on previously?

Some incredible projects featured on this website.

Most of my experience is either short scripted work (short films, trailers, music videos) or long-form non-scripted (short docs, feature length docs, tv-docs, branded docs, doc-series).

You don't have my exact project on your resume already. Are you going to be able to cut what I imagine?

With many years in the industry chances are I'll be able to show previous experience in the genre/style. Do ask.

Can you cut my trailer/reel/promo clip?

Yes. Love my work.

You have a non-Anglo name. I hesitate to trust you.

I have lived in Toronto for 10 years and worked in this industry since 2011, I know the culture and landscape very well by now.

I don't think I can afford a senior editor.

Junior at heart. Agreements are best reached at expensive dinners.

Jokes aside - some of the most enjoyable projects I have worked on have been self funded.

How do you like to work?

I tend to enjoy mutual respect and professional manner. I like clear communication and friendly tone above all else, the workflow will be figured out based on the project.

Can you read my mind or just the script?

I go back and forth until I find something useful.
